Wire, Sinker and Drilling Electric Discharge Machining (EDM)
Sinker EDM (Electric Discharge Machining) and Wire EDM are two popular types of EDM used in the manufacturing industry. Sinker EDM, also known as die-sinking EDM, uses a specially shaped electrode to create a cavity or shape in a workpiece. Wire EDM, on the other hand, uses a thin wire as an electrode to cut through the workpiece. Both methods use electrical discharges to erode the material, allowing for high precision and intricate designs. These EDM methods are commonly used in the production of tools, molds, and other metal components in industries such as aerospace, automotive, and medical devices.
